Irene Martha Ziol

Richmond Hill Irene Martha Ziol, 97, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 after a short illness. She was born in Gary, Indiana on April 24, 1916 to Frank Peda and Eleanora Grunwald Peda. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and a member of The Council of Catholic Women. In Indiana, she was a national past director of the Polish Roman Catholic Union. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ziol ; her son, Ronald Ziol; two brothers, Edmund and Raymond Peda; and a sister, Loretta Nozrik. She is survived by her daughter, Bernadine Robinson (Gilbert); four grandchildren, Heather Robinson Tucker (Donald) of Tullahoma, TN, Aleece Robinson Browher (Reese) of Rincon, GA, Kathleen Ziol Guest (Richard) of New York City, NY, and Ronald Ziol of DeMotte, IN; five great grandchildren, Colten, Cayden and Colby Tucker and Ella and Ava Browher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at St. Anne Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. She will be buried next to her husband in Merrillville, IN at a later date.
