Hinesville Marilyn Russell Clark, 81, died Saturday at Magnolia Manor in Richmond Hill. A native of Ithaca, New York, she lived in Hinesville for 47 years and worked as a volunteer for the Special Olympics, American Red Cross, Liberty Regional Medical Center, Chamber of Commerce and VFW Auxiliary. She was Presbyterian. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert (Bud) Clark. She is survived by her son, David Clark (Julie) of Bremerton, WA; sister, Elizabeth McClory of Sarasota, FL; brother, James Russell of Candor, NY; grandchildren, Kevin and Kathy; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, at Carter Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Oglethorpe Memorial Park. Reverend Stephen Lee (Chaplain) will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Humane Shelter, P.O. Box 1481, Hinesville, GA 31310.
