Howard Jackson Pitts

Howard J. Pitts, 50, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Memorial University Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he had lived in Midway for 30 years, was a self-employed plumber and attended Midway First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Pitts. He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Pitts of Palm Coast, FL; son, Codi Pitts of Midway; father, Grover Pitts of Midway; brothers, Clifford Pitts of Jacksonville, FL, and Darryl Pitts of Midway. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2014, at Midway First Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Midway Methodist Church Cemetery.
