Savannah Gary L. Hill, 71, died Monday, December 22, 2014 in a truck accident. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 28, 1943 but has lived most of his life in Georgia. He was a United States Army veteran. He also worked several years at Central Motors and Advance Auto Parts. He was a man who was outgoing with a sense of humor that we will all miss. He loved old cars, working on the farm, and his HOT sauce and peppers. His greatest love was his family. He will be missed and in our hearts forever. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Lee and Lutisher Hill; a brothers, Steve Hill; and a brother in heart, Lawton Sallette. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Barbra Hill; sons, Michael (Arlene) and Gary L. Hill, Jr.; granddaughter, Sadie Kuharik; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hill; niece, Christy Wigley (William); nephew, Steve Hill, Jr.; brother-in-law, Michael Cojohn (Arlene); niece, Joyce Adriance (Brian); sisters in heart, Jan Cattani-Akins (George), Carole Williams (Eddie), Mary Head (Roy) and Sandy Sallette; brother in heart, Jimmy Moore. Also left to cherish his memory are his godchildren, David Clifton (Sherri), Heather Jones (Bryan), Melissa Floyd (Gary), Jackie Sallette (Daryl), Jacob Coleman (Jessie) and many more. Also left to cherish his memory are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held at Daniel Baptist Church in Richmond Hill on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
