Ofelia G Capapas

Ofelia G. Capapas, 84, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah after a short illness. A native of the Philippines, she was a resident of Ludowici for the past 15 years, and was a retired retail shop owner. She was a member of St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Erlinda Greathouse. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Alfonso Capapas; children, Danilo Capapas (Marietta) of the Philippines, Elmer Capapas (Norminia Del Mundo) of New Jersey, Normita Baluyot (Ricardo) of Ludowici, and Emily Capapas of the Philippines; son-in-law, David Greathouse of Ludowici; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015, at St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church with Father Adam Kasela officiating. Burial will be in Oglethorpe Memorial Park.
