Jeffery A. Driggers, 48, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Liberty Regional Medical Center. Born in Savannah, he grew up in Richmond Hill. He lived in Midway for the past 20 years and was a captain in the Lake George Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Jeffery served with the department for five years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Jeannette Driggers. Survivors include his spouse, Connie Smith; daughter, Hali Alexis Driggers, both of Midway; brothers, Mark Driggers of Midway and Carl Driggers of Addis, LA; and two grandchildren, Molly and Lennon. Visitation will be 2:30-4:00 pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 4 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Daniel Baptist Church Cemetery in Richmond Hill. Pallbearers will be Lyn Smith, Forest Anderson, Gary Cox, Billy Haymans, Russell Jenkins, and Allen Sylvester. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
