Dorothy A. Flowers, 84, died Friday at Florida South Hospital in Orlando, Florida, after a long illness. A native of Long County, Georgia, Ms. Flowers worked in the Long County Tag Office until retiring in 1989. She had lived in the Orlando area since 1989. She was a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church. A world traveler, she lived life to the fullest and loved country music. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Flowers and one grandchild, Dustin Brown. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Flowers of Warner Robins and Debora Brown of Hinesville; her son, Doyle W. Flowers, Jr., of Atlanta; her companion of eleven years, Sonny Harding of Orlando; brothers, Clifton Baxter of Perry, GA, and C. H. Baxter of Lafayette, GA; two grandchildren, Nick Flowers and Danielle Brown; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Noon to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Gum Branch Baptist Church in Hinesville, GA, and Funeral Services will follow at 2pm. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
