Gary Arthur Walker

Gary Arthur Walker, 75, passed away Tuesday morning, May 12, 2015, at Liberty Regional Hospital in Hinesville. Born in Los Angeles, CA, to Lester A. and Dorothy Cantwell Walker, he was the owner of Walker Insurance in Hinesville for 35 years, and chairman of the Hinesville Chamber of Commerce in 1990 and 2007. He was a Navy veteran and attended Gum Branch Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors are his wife, Elaine Wells Walker; children, Bradford "Brad" Walker, Frank Hohenhouse (Sheri), Carla Hohenhouse, Nikki Walker Mosley (George), Nicole Spears Landon, Marisa Kelly Grandmason (Chuck), Devin Kelly Rundle (Brett), and Brooke Kelly Guyett (Ernie); grandchildren, Christopher Scott and Kayla Walker, Jacquelyn Kiser, Christopher and Matthew Mosley, Hannah and Haleigh Landon, Riley, Regan, Rowan, Ryan and Reid Grandmason, Jincy, Jadyn, and Jack Rundle, and Makenzie, Meghan, Maci and Mason Guyett; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Gum Branch Baptist Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Gabe Gill will officiate. The family will also receive visitors at the church prior to the service on Sunday. Memorials may be made to Gum Branch Baptist Church Building Fund or Liberty County Humane Shelter.
