Fleming James Darnell "Jimmy" Rogers, 55, passed away Saturday at his home after a long illness. Born in Savannah, he lived in Fleming all his life. He was a member of Fleming Baptist Church and a retiree of Interstate Paper Company. Survivors are his mother, Jewell Rogers Bowen of Fleming; brother, Harry Rogers (Candace) of Fleming; sister, Alice Rogers of Richmond Hill; stepbrother, Gerald L. "Bubba" Bowen, Jr. (Donna Hardy); stepsisters, Sharon B. West (William), Debra B. Daniels (Ricky), Donna B. McDonough (Eddie); nephews, William H. "Bill" Rogers of New Jersey and Sean Powell of Midway; niece, Lisa Malphurs of Flagler Beach, FL; several other nieces and nephews; and many, many friends in the Midway area. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am, Monday, September 28, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am, with Rev. Bob Briley and Rev.
