Doyle Lamar Wells

Doyle Lamar Wells, 82, died Sunday at his residence under the care of Pruitt Hospice Care.  

A native of Liberty County, he lived in Hinesville most of his life, as well as Zwolle, LA.  He was a member of Westside Baptist Church of Hinesville and First Baptist Church of Zwolle.  A veteran of the United States Army, he was a steel fabricator by trade.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wells of Hinesville; one son, Deven Wells of Hinesville; three stepsons, Chris Lewis of Noble, LA, Randy Lewis and Tim Lewis, both of Zwolle; and a sister, Vivian Blackwell of Sumter, SC.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  Funeral services will begin at 11 am, Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Westside Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Buckley and Rev. Bob Briley officiating.  Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in Hinesville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Davis, Dennis Davis, Carlton Davis, Clyde Howell, Rick Holley, Karl Braley and Joe Foster.
