Morton Harrison France, III

November 11, 1946 — January 17, 2016



Mr. Morton Harrison France, III, died Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Woodlands Health and Rehab after a short illness.

A native of Charleston, South Carolina, he was a resident of the Hinesville area for the last 30 years.  He was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the US Army for four years.  He was a driver for Kay’s Medical Transport where he was dedicated to the patients who needed his assistance for over 10 years before having to retire due to his own failing health. 

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Swope (David) of Fleming; sister, Susan Cass of Rincon; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-2 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, with the funeral service to follow at 2pm.  Burial with Military Honors will be 1 pm, Monday, February 1, 2016, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
