Richmond Hill Ronald William O’Quinn, 74, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital. He has lived in the Savannah area his entire life. A veteran of the US Air Force, he was a life time member of Ardsley Park Baptist Church and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Richmond Hill. He worked many years as director of Howard Clinical Laboratory that is associated with Candler Hospital before opening and operating the Postal Drop for ten years in Ocala, FL with his wife. Ronald was a member of the Savannah Yacht Club and was an avid fisherman. He helped start the Islands Athletic Association and was very active in youth sports coaching Little League for many years. He is preceded in death by his son, William Brandon O’Quinn and his brothers, Richard O’Quinn and Johnnie A. O’Quinn and wife Helen O’Quinn. Survivors include his wife of twenty-three years, Ann Gill Youmans O’Quinn; son, William Shawn Rudoff (Holly) of Ft Pierce, FL; three grandchildren, Rebecca and Robby Rudoff and Madisyn O’Quinn; step grandson, Sibley Durant; step sons, Donald S. Durant, Jr. (Donnie), Seth J. Durant (Danielle) all of Atlanta, Gill H. Durant (Melanie) of Charleston, SC.; brother, Donald O’Quinn (Dolly) of Midway; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date.
