Darryl Woodbury Harriman, 80, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at home surrounded by his family and under the care of Heartland Hospice.
A native of Searsmont, Maine, he was a resident of Hinesville for the past 43 years and was a member of Crossroads Holy Church of God. He retired from the US ARMY after 20 years of service and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also a retired civil servant.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Harriman.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce Harriman; children, David Harriman (Renee) of Jacksonville, FL, Darryl Harriman (Glenda) of Hinesville, and Leslie Williams of Brunswick; a sister, Marie Morgan of DeLand, FL; grandchildren, Justin, Geoffrey, Brianna, Jesse, Kristie, Alexis and Gauge; great-grandchildren, Blake, Emery, Jared and Hanna; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Crossroads Holy Church of God with Reverend Jeptha Newberry officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Hinesville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to Crossroads Holy Church of God Building Fund.
