Landal Fay Floyd Griffin, 71 passed away Friday, July 15,2016 at Candler Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Griffin was born June 23,
1945 to Mallery Pittman and Winnie Merle (Nobles) Floyd of Lumberton, NC. Proceeding her in death were her parents and loving husband, father, and grandfather William Horace Griffin Sr. of 29 years.
She worked as a paraprofessional for the
Savannah Chatham County System for 23 years and enjoyed working with the children. She loved prayer time and fellowship with the Trailblazer seniors group at church.
At the nursing home she would read to the children that came by along with other various activities ,but most of all she liked to help cut out prayer cloths so that the Lord's work could continue to help spread the love of God to others.
Survivors - (daughter) Penny(Louie) Anderson of Midway; (daughter) Tracy Griffin of Pooler; (daughter) Billie (Jerry) Spry of Midway; (son) William (Shelly) Griffin Jr (Rincon. She had 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.
Memorial service to be held 11 a.m. Saturday,July 23,2016 at the Spirit Life Revival Center at 7 Canebrake Road, Savannah. Pastor Walt Sparks will be officiating.
