Cornelia "Neal" Wells

October 4, 1919 — July 16, 2016



Cornelia “Neal” Wells, 96, died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital after a short illness.

A lifelong resident of Liberty County, she was of the Baptist faith and attended Riceboro Presbyterian Church.  She was an avid golfer and sports fan – especially Atlanta Braves baseball.

She was predeceased by her husband, Quinton Wells, and a son, Larry Wells.

She is survived by her children, Lynette Clark (Dan) of Riceboro, Charlotte Feigles (Sam) of Riceboro, Leland Wells (Wanda) of Melbourne, FL, Cindy Eblin (Bill) of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Michael Wells (Vonice) of Washington, GA; grandchildren, Leslie Cheek (Gary), Angie Dixon (Ralph), Brian Feigles (Kristen), Brad Feigles (Kendra), Jennifer Healy (Stan), Christy Norton (Jason), Will Eblin (Rebecca), Jillian Andrews (Adam), and Joyner Wells (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Blake Cheek, Christopher Cheek, Justin  Harriman (Hershey), Geoffrey Harriman (Ashley), Benton Feigles, Drew Feigles, Ainsley Feigles, Nicholas Healy, Drew Norton, Liam Eblin, Easton Eblin, Athen Andrews, Ali Malena Andrews, and Pearson Wells; great-great-grandchildren, Jared, Hanna and Emery; sisters, Colleen Hammond of Harriets Bluff, GA, Mattie Lou Stevens of Brunswick, GA, Joan Amerson of Crescent, GA, Mary Nell Hemby of Montrose, Colorado.

Honorary Pallbearers will be former and current members of the Cherokee Rose Ladies Golf Association, Riceboro Presbyterian Church Family, Georgia Hospice, and Claudine Chesser.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  The Funeral Service will begin at 11 am, Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, with Rev. Greg Loskoski officiating.  Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to Riceboro Presbyterian Church or Georgia Hospice of Jesup.
