Vaneta Ynez Anderson Smith of Flemington, Georgia, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born December 2, 1936, in Paso Robles, California. She grew up in the Creston, California, community and was the eldest child of the late Leo Fred Anderson and Mary Agnes O'Donovan Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Randal Smith.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Greg and Teresa Latham, Alicia and Jim Floyd, and Marcia and Don Austero, and her siblings, Barbara Anderson, John Anderson and Leona Brewer. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Meghann Floyd, Ross Floyd, Evanne Floyd, Ben Austero, Jesse Austero, Lillian Austero, Reece Latham, Elauna Doto, Makiya Doto, Laylin Warner and Mason Warner.

She proudly served as a police officer for the City of Morrow, Georgia until her retirement and was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be at 10am on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the Flemington Presbyterian Church with burial following in the Flemington Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church social hall immediately following the services.

Pallbearers are Don Austero, Ben Austero, Jesse Austero, Reece Latham, Jim Floyd, Ross Floyd, and Mike Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Flemington Men's Bible Class.

Memorials are suggested to the Flemington Presbyterian Church.
