Betty Jane Floyd Parker

Betty Jane Parker, 87, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, passed away on August 31, 2016, in Jacksonville, FL. Betty Jane was born July 2, 1929 into the family of George W. and Stella E. Floyd, in Hinesville, GA. She was predeceased by her husband George R. Parker and all of her siblings: Harvey, Earldene, Lois, Laurie, Elmore (Buck), Porter, and Alan.

Betty Jane earned her GED from Florida Junior College in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) and the American Legion, and her passions included the deep love for her family, playing cards and fishing.

Betty Jane is survived by her sons, James R. "Randy" McNeal (Karen) and Mark Carson McNeal; step-son, George William Parker; and five grandchildren, Jason Skelton, Brooke McNeal, Alex McNeal, Chrissy Maione and Monique Maione.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel in Hinesville, GA, at 11 AM, Thursday, September 29th, 2016. She will be laid to rest at the Hinesville Cemetery.
