Dorothy Cater Williams

Dorothy Cater Williams, 103, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Savannah Hospice House. 

Born April 21, 1913, in Syracuse, NY, to Ernest and Georgia McMullen Cater, she was married to Charles Edgar Williams for nearly 66 years until his passing on December 28, 2003.  She lived on the Isle of Wight in Midway, GA, for 26 years and was active in the Midway Methodist Church.  She loved her garden and was an excellent bridge player.  She moved to Magnolia Manor in Richmond Hill, GA, in 2005, wherein she resided up to the time of her death.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Jeanne Williams of Waterville, ME, Charles Lawrence Williams of Austin, TX, and Patricia Anne Williams of Marietta, GA; and a grandson, Bradley Williams Reed of Roslindale, MA.  

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Magnolia Manor, 141 Timber Trail, Richmond Hill, GA.  Burial will be at 12 Noon, in the Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery, 215 Martin Road, Midway, GA.  The family will receive friends at a reception in the church social hall following the burial.
