Doyle W. Flowers, Jr., 59, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his home in Atlanta.
Born in Oklahoma, he lived most of his life in Hinesville, before moving to Atlanta 10 years ago. He was an entrepreneur and author. His main interest in life was the Bible: He enjoyed studying the Bible and he also sold Bibles. He loved to travel. He was a member of Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist Church where he was the former Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher.
Preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Dorothy Flowers, and his nephew, Dustin Brown.
He is survived by two sisters, Linda Ann Flowers of Warner Robins and Debora Brown of Hinesville; nephew, Nick Flowers of Warner Robins; niece, Danielle Brown of Hinesville; great-nephews, Malachi Brown and Kaleb Ross; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will begin at 2pm, Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. James O. Young officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Gum Branch Church Cemetery.
