Andy Strickland, Sr., 67, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018.
Born in Savannah, he lived in Liberty County his entire life and was a self-employed entrepreneur. A veteran of the Air National Guard, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed mud bogging. He was a loving father, grandfather, and husband.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Strickland.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Strickland; children, Beckie Hayes (Kevin) of Pooler, Christy George (Allen) of Long County, and Andy Strickland, Jr. (Courtney), of Long County; siblings, Leroy Strickland (Donita), Teresa Strickland, Pamela Strickland, and Gary Strickland (Patricia); grandchildren, Aylah, Aidan, Allory, and Abel Hayes, Ashley Cabica, Allen George, Jr., and Rachel and Payson Strickland; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 2-3 pm, Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm and burial with Military Honors will be in Hinesville Cemetery.
