Gladys Manning Troupe transitioned into eternal rest Thursday, July 26, 2018.

Gladys was born in Sumter, SC in 1933.  She moved to Miami, FL as a teen where she began her career in private duty nursing.  Gladys was a vivacious spirit, the life of the party, and she always maintained a sense of humor.  Her family always came first in life.  Therefore, her love of cooking and gardening allowed her to express her love with delicious meals often filled with homegrown bounty.

Gladys retired from Miami-Dade County Public Schools in 1997.  She relocated to Hinesville, GA in 2007, where she resided until her transition. Gladys was a member of the Allenhurst Church of Christ before her health failed and she could no longer attend services.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was a long-time member of the Pembroke Park Church of Christ in Pembroke Park, FL.  

Preceded in death by husband, Reason Troupe and son, Livingston Troupe, Sr., she is survived by three children, Michael (Shane) of Dallas, TX, Teresa (Venson Sr.) of Allenhurst, GA, and Renee (Clarence) of Hinesville, GA; five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Monica), Venson Jr. (Greta), Caleb, Livingston, and Donovan; great-grandchildren, Khalijah, Kierra, Jayden, Ariana, and Christian; four sisters, Susie Ramsey, Ethel Vaughn, Blanche Gibson of Sumter, SC and Bernice Budden Brooklyn, NY; and a host of other family members.

A memorial will be planned at a later date.
