Glenn Howard, 62, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018, at Candler Hospital surrounded by his family.
A lifelong resident of Liberty County, he was an Elder at Allenhurst Presbyterian Church. He served with the Hinesville Police Department for 27 years. Prior to joining the police force, he worked for Coburg Milk Company for several years. Glenn loved sports, his church, friends and family, and especially his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilton F. Howard.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Jean Howard; two children, Tosha Howard and Shawn Howard (Jessica); five grandchildren, Rachel and Allison Shryer, and Kinsey, Evie, and Cameron Howard; mother, Helen Howard; sister, Brenda Hanson; brothers, Ray Allen Hall, Charles Howard, and Nathan “Mike” Howard; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Monday, November 19, 2018, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at
Pallbearers will be Charles Howard, Nathan “Mike” Howard, George Fernando, Kevin Horne, Terry Howard, and George Howard. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Hinesville Police Department.
