Tommy Lee Fordham passed away at home, surrounded by family, on July 20, 2017, after a long battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Tommy was born on December 4, 1949, to Annie Ruth (Moon) and Charlie Warren Fordham in Metter, Georgia. He served honorably and proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He began working construction as a young man, and started designing homes in the 1980’s. Tommy was a resident of Richmond Hill, Georgia for the last 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, June (Gibbs) of Richmond Hill, sons Tommy, Jr. (Lizlyn) of the Philippines and Bryan (Amber) of Richmond Hill, brothers and sisters Charles Fordham of Midway, Lois Diederich (Ron) of Meldrim, Richard Fordham (Diane) of Ellabelle, Theresa Mock (David) of Wilmington Island, and Jeffrey Fordham (Tracy) of Bloomingdale, grandchildren Phoebe, Kathleen, Presley, Eric and Abby, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
