Hinesville David Flory, 65, passed away at home Tuesday, January 10, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born in Minot, ND, he lived most of his life in Hinesville. He was a member of Hinesville First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Georgia National Guard. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a truck driver. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved being on his tractor. David was a loving grandpa, husband, and step-father. He loved people, never met a stranger, and was just a darn good man. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Debra Flory; mother and step-father, Niame and Edward Hoffer of Nevada; step-children, Shawn Niksch of Moltree, Chris Niksch of Atlanta, and Nikki Gaskin (Johnny) of Midway; son, David Miles Flory of Ludowici; step-brother, Alan Hoffer; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alaina, Anna and Maddison. A special thanks for Mickey Parker, Tim Barrington, and Ruben Wells for being such good friends. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. The funeral service will be 1:30 pm, Friday, January 13, 2017, at the Hinesville First Baptist Church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Glennville. Dress attire for all services will be jeans/casual. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Hinesville First Baptist Church Building Fund, 220 East Memorial Drive, Hinesville, GA 31313.
