Iris Yolanda Rivera Gongora

Allenhurst Iris Yolanda Gongora, 62, passed away at home Friday, January 6, 2017, surrounded by her family. A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, she has lived in Allenhurst for the past 17 years.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Alexander Gongora; children, Adrian Gongora of Puerto Rico, Alexander Gongora of Allenhurst, and Allan Gongora of Colorado; grandchildren, Alyssa, Angelina, Akasha, Araina, Allana and Alexander; brother, Jose Rivera; sisters, Sonia Rivera and Maria Lopez; and several other family members. Funeral Service will be 11am, Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
