John Dill, 74, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Savannah Hospice House. Johnnie spent most of his life in the Atlanta area, then lived in Midway for the past 22 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a Master Mason with the Masonic Lodge. He was a building inspector for with the City of Atlanta until his retirement after 25 years. He also had a heating and air company and was a farmer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a loving father. He was preceded in death by a son, Jonah Dill. Survivors are his children, Jennifer Russell of Nevada, John Dill of Greenville, NC, and Julie Barstow of Texas; 8 grandchildren; sister Nobie Fleming; brother, James Moore; sister, Sherry; and several other family members, including Maudean Dill. Funeral services will be 10am, Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville with masonic rites and military honors.
