Ronny G. Holt

MSG Ronny G. Holt (United States Army, retired), 75, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital Monday, November 7, 2016, surrounded by his family after a short illness. Raised in Woodbury, TN, he lived in Liberty County for the past 30 years.  He was retired from the United States Army and a Vietnam Veteran, having served multiple Tours of Duty in Vietnam.  After his military career, he was a civil servant at Fort Stewart until his retirement.  He loved being outdoors and playing golf.  He loved life and was a joy to be around. He was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Cynthia Way Holt, his mother and father, and his brother Ralph. Surviving are his daughter, Casey Redding of San Antonio, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Joe; and grandson, Christian Buxton. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  Funeral Services, with Full Military Honors, will begin at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.
