Richmond Hill Gregory C. Charron Sr., 71 died Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Jacksonville at the Mayo Clinic. He was born in Mt. Clemonts, MI and lived in the Savannah, Richmond Hill area the past 52 years. He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus; a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a volunteer with the Legends of Golf, The Masters and Heritage Golf Tournaments. For 37 years he was a member of the Teamsters Union from a truck driver to a business agent/ officer and an officer for the international teamsters. He also worked for Bryan County Tax Assessors. He was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Mae Charron; children Cherrie Siebert (Paul), Greg Charron (Amy) and Michelle Rushing (Frank); 6 grandchildren Christian Rushing, Jay Weisbarth, Kasey Siebert, Joseph Bomboy, Haley Weisbarth and Hannah Siebert; 2 sisters Jackie Erdman and Evon Munro; 2 brothers David Charron and Larry Williams; several other family members. The family will receive friends 5:00- 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel and will have a prayer service at 7:30 pm. A memorial mass will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the historic St. Anne’s Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic.
