Ralph Lamar Dean Ralph Lamar Dean of Richmond Hill , Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 14, 2016 . He was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia on February 22, 1930, to the late Henry and Louise Benton Dean. Ralph was married to Wanda Fowler Dean for 41 years. Preceding him in death was a brother, Jackie Dean, and a sister, Iantha Roberts. Survivors include brothers, Henry Dean (Joyce) of Tucson, Arizona; Horrace Dean (Betty) of Tifton. Bobby Dean of Lenox; Lanny Dean (Barbara) of Ocilla; sister-in-law Libby Dean of Alapaha. Also surviving are eight daughters: Peggy Dean Hagan (Mike) of Norman Park; Darlene Dean Holderby (Ricky) of Pine Valley, California; Kay Dean of Lakeside, California; Allana Dean Graves (James) of Moultry; Tabitha Dean, Melanie Dean, and Stephanie Dean of Richmond Hill; Montana Dean of Macon. Ralph is survived by 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he and Wanda recently moved their church letters. He loved attending Bethel and was present Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings. Ralph adored his family and grandchildren. He was blessed to have many friends. He was a sheetrock finisher and truck driver by profession. He was a hard worker and enjoyed helping others. At age 86 Ralph enjoyed cutting his grass and neighbors’ grass with a push mower. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 16, at 3:00 at Bethel Baptist Church, Richmond Hill, Georgia. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ralph Dean burial fund in care of Carter Funeral Home.
