Savannah Jimmie Butler Stripling, 75, died Friday, May 13, 2013 at home. Born November 12, 1940 in Adel, GA, he moved to Savannah, GA in 1961 where he worked for the City of Savannah in the vehicle maintenance department until he retired in 2002. He was a member of Savannah First Seventh Day Adventist Church and served as a Deacon and Elder. He is preceded in death by his parents, Butler and Helen Stripling and his brother, Tommy Stripling. Survivors include three sisters, Doris Lindsay of Savannah, Fran Roberts (J.R.) of Tucson, AZ, and Fay Westberry of Richmond Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Savannah First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Pooler, GA. Burial will follow in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Savannah First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Pooler, GA.
