Savannah Phillip Pearson, 65, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 17, 2016. He was born in Maryland and has lived in Savannah for the past thirty-three years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the US Army after twenty-two years of service. Phillip worked for AIC Towing for eighteen years and Universal Intermodal Services for the past three years. He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Irene Pearson; son, Richard Pearson of Ellabell; a daughter, Cassandra Kemp and her husband Michael of Richmond Hill; and seven grandchildren, Erica, Laine, Cathleen, Taylor, Larissa, Kayla, and Starr. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
