Virginia Smiley Howard

Virginia Smiley Howard, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died Monday February 15, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She has lived most of her life in Richmond Hill, she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Jake W. Howard; a son, Lynn; 1 sister, Nancy and 4 brothers; Wallace, Buddy, Russell and Paul. Survived by son and daughter-in-law Gene and Carol Howard of Fleming; daughter Pat Miller of Richmond Hill; daughter-in-law Trudi Howard of Richmond Hill; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Jack and Carole Smiley of Savannah and a large extended family. Visitation will be 6-8:00 Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Trinity Baptist Church and burial will follow in Daniel Baptist Church Cemetery.
