Shirley Katherine Maney

Hinesville, Shirley Katherine Maney, 80, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at her home under the care of Heartland Hospice surrounded by her family. Born in Long County, Georgia, she lived in Hinesville all her life.  She was the dietician at Liberty Regional Hospital for over 25 years before retiring.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fairl Maney; son, Gary Maney; and son-in-law, Bobby Cook. Survivors include children, Evelyn Smiley (Mike), Daryl Maney (Paulette), Diane Cook, Connie Smith (Robert), and Tony Maney; two sisters, Anne Wright and Lynda Miness; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11 a.m.  at Crossroads Holy Church of God with Reverend Jeptha Newberry officiating.  Burial will follow at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
