Maureen Crawley Hogan

May 1, 1954 — August 11, 2015

Hinesville Maureen Ann Crawley Hogan, 61, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah after a short illness. A native of Mosinee, Wisconsin, she was a resident of Hinesville, Georgia, for twenty-three years.  Mrs. Hogan was an Army veteran and was employed by AFFES, both in Stuttgart, Germany, and on Fort Stewart, for twenty-nine years.  She was a member of St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church where she previously served as Vice President of the Council of Catholic Women and was a member of the women’s auxiliary of Knights of Columbus.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Corneilius “Con” and Margaret (Oatman) Crawley; brother, Joseph Crawley; and father-in-law, Truman Hogan.   She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gerald Hogan of Hinesville; daughter, Leigh Ann Hogan of Nashville; sister, Cathleen Lauer of Plainfield, WI; and brother, Paul J. Crawley of Nashville. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, with Prayer service and Rosary beginning at 7:30.  Visitation will also be held from 10-11 am on Saturday.  Funeral service will 11:00 am, Saturday, August 15, 2015, in the chapel at Carter Funeral Home with Father Adam Kasela officiating.  Military Honors will be presented by the US Army Honor Guard.  Memorial donations may be made to the Liberty County Humane Shelter, 279 Briarwood Circle, Hinesville, GA 31313. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
