Myong Suk Young of Hinesville, Georgia was born on January 13, 1953. After an 8-year battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully on May 13, 2015, at the age of 62 with her loving husband by her side. Myong Suk loved her family and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her dearest husband of 32 years, Charles Young, Sr.; her treasured mother, Kum Sok So; her loving brothers, Yi Mong Su (Sun He) and Yi Won Sok (Suk Ja); her adoring daughter, Jeni Brendle; her revered sons, Charles Young, Jr., David Young (Linda), William Young (Bonnie), her 13 cherished Grandchildren and 5 wonderful Great Grandchildren. Proceeded in death by devoted father, Yi Son Chun and sister Yi Yon Suk. Myong Suk was born in Taejun, South Korea, and her childhood years were spent outside Kumson, South Korea. She moved with her husband to the United States in 1984 and became a proud American Citizen in 1990. She lived in Hinesville, Georgia, for the past 20 years and was a faithful member of the First Korean Baptist Church in Hinesville. Myong Suk had a successful career as a dedicated employee at Fabricare Cleaners in Hinesville, Georgia, for 15 years. She loved cooking, gardening, reading, socializing and knitting. In her younger years she also enjoyed giving piano lessons. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday, May 17th, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel in Hinesville. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA, at 1 p.m. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
