Minnie Spivey Shuman

Midway Minnie Lee Shuman, 86, went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 11, 2015 at 9:41 p.m. She was born July 5, 1928 in Miller County to John Wilson and Lillie Gertrude Widner. She was a member of Midway First Baptist Church where she served in the choir and always loved caring for the babies in the nursery. She is preceded in death by her son, John T. Spivey who passed September 23, 2014. Survivors include six of her children, Joyce German of New Braunfels, TX, Diane Williams (Gary) of Flagler Beach, FL, Henry Spivey (Tammy) of Valdosta, GA, Debra Barrett of Abbeville, GA, Martha Meece (Daryl) of Cincinnati, OH, and Ann Barnhardt (Sammy) of Covington, GA; a sister, Mattie Fandrich (Don); twelve grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Richmond Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery.
