Lamar Douglas Garrett, Sr

Richmond Hill Lamar D. Garrett, Sr. “Pappy” died Monday, April 6, 2015 at his home. Pappy has lived in Richmond Hill the past twenty years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and retired as Sergeant Major after more than 30 years in the United States Army. Survivors include his son, Lamar D. Garrett, Jr and his wife Lori A. Garrett of Hilliard, FL; a daughter, Katherine; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister in law, Carole Garrett; and three nieces. A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. A funeral mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
