Dorothy Christine Vaillencourt

Hinesville Dorothy “Kris” Vaillencourt, 66, died Thursday, January 15, 2015, at home after a long illness. She has lived in Hinesville for the past twenty-five years and was retired from the U.S. Census Bureau. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Noel D. Vaillencourt; father, Samuel W. Hamm; two sisters, Annie Mae Field and Martha Kelly. She is survived by her mother, Mary Ray of Alabama; two sisters, Betty Ramirez and Eva Mendoza, both of California; brother, Roger Hamm of Georgia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Graveside services will be Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Remembrances may be made to any animal rescue of the donor’s choice.
