Howard Jackson Pitts

   Howard J. Pitts, 50, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Memorial University Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he had lived in Midway for 30 years, was a self-employed plumber and attended Midway First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Pitts. He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Pitts of Palm Coast, FL; son, Codi Pitts of Midway;  father, Grover Pitts of Midway; brothers, Clifford Pitts of Jacksonville, FL, and Darryl Pitts of Midway. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2014, at Midway First Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Wright officiating.  Burial will be in Midway Methodist Church Cemetery. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
