Midway Brenda J. Todd, 72, died Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Savannah, she grew up in Screven County and lived in Midway since 1969. A retired bookkeeper, she worked at Saunders Hardware for seven years and with Vera Rambo Accounting Services for ten years. She was an active member of Midway First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Aubrey W. Todd, Jr.; one son, Chris Todd (Robyn); one daughter, April Burriss (Charles), all of Midway; one sister, Patricia Wilson (Wendell) of Springfield, GA; four grandchildren, Nathan and Madison Burriss, Kasie Burriss-Sexton, and Austin Long; one great grandson, Liam Sexton; and a special friend and caregiver, Tina Custer. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at Midway First Baptist Church at 11am on Monday with Rev. J. C. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Dorchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Deason, Phillip Deason, Danny Bland, Eddie Todd, Nathan Burriss, and Austin Long.
