Hinesville Mary E. Morris, 75, died Thursday at Liberty Regional Hospital after a long illness. A native of Bullock County, AL, she had lived in Hinesville since 1998 and was a member of the Legion of Mary at Saint Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church. She is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia Tennant of Temple, TX, Cheryl Surles of El Paso, TX, Missy Rodriquez of Columbus, GA; four sons, Donald Adams of Columbus, GA, Carshie Adams, III, of Valdosta, GA, Sean Adams of Las Vegas, NV, and Terrance Morris of Suffolk, VA; sister, Evelyn Pough of Columbus, GA; brothers, Dr. James Davenport of Petersburg, VA, Leonard Davenport of Nashville, TN; two nieces, Debra Pough and Barbara Lawrence, both of Columbus, GA; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, with Prayer Service and Rosary beginning at 6pm at Carter Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at Noon on Thursday, September 18, at St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church with Father Adam Kasela officiating. Committal Service will be Friday at 1:00 in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Columbus, GA. Pall Bearers will be Leon Tennant, Terrance Morris, Carshie Adams, III, Willie Lawrence, Albert Surles, and Luis Rodriquez. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
