Ludowici George Marvin Neeley, 67, died Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. A native of Savannah, he lived in Ludowici for the past 6 years. Until his retirement, he worked as a mechanic for Auto Tech in Midway, which is owned by his brother, Hollis Smith. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Neeley and Pete Murray. He is survived by his wife, Judy Neeley, of Ludowici; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Bryson (Ronnie) of Asheville, NC, Georgeanne Neeley (Robert Sapp) of Guyton, Sherry Neeley of Ludowici, and Lacey Neeley (Robert Gruber) of Ludowici; sister, Deborah White; brothers, Larry Neeley, Jack Wells and Hollis Smith; grandchildren, Charity and Faith Bryson, George, Cody and Damian Sapp, and Holly, Austin and Elvis Neeley. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Carter Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jeb Newberry officiating.
