Eleanor Jean Pitts

Midway Eleanor J. Pitts, 69, died Wednesday at Memorial University Medical Center after a long illness. A native of Adger, AL, Mrs. Pitts lived in Midway for 30 years. She was a member of Midway First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Grover Pitts; three sons, Clifford Pitts of Jacksonville, FL, Howard Pitts and Darryl Pitts of Midway; a brother, Howard Parsons of Bessemer, AL; four sisters, Virginia Cochran and Annie Mae Cox of Bessemer, AL, Patricia Seals of Hueytown, AL, and Vera Goswell of Jacksonville, FL; four granddaughters, two grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 pm to 6 pm Friday at Carter Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 12 Noon Saturday at Midway First Baptist Church with the Reverend J.C. Wright officiating.
