Thomas "Mack" Hearn

April 18, 1939 — January 4, 2014

Thomas “Mack” Hearn, Jr., 74, of Hinesville, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Memorial University Medical Center following a long illness. A native of Phenix City, AL, he was a long haul truck driver for 50 years. Mr. Hearn served in the US Air Force and was a member of Crossroads Holy Church of God. He is survived by the love of his life, Virue Hearn Villwok of Hinesville; three daughters, Tina Iafrati of Hinesville, Leahann Waites of Columbus, and Jennifer Thomas of Radcliff, KY; two sons, Thomas Ray Hearn of Elizabethtown, KY, and Clarence Andrew Hearn of Clay, KY; five stepchildren, Jimmy Jones, Billy Owen Quesenberry, Robbie Sweeney, Sherry Vario, and Sarah Frost; two brothers, James Emory Hearn and Jerry Allen Hearn; fourteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday night at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Holy Church of God with Pastor Jeptha Newberry officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville. Pallbearers will be Jim Hearn, Jerry Hearn, Andy Hearn, Isaac Hearn, Micheal Hearn, and William Randall. Honorary Pallbearers will be all the men of Crossroads Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mack Hearn Funeral Fund, C/O Rev. Jeptha Newberry, P.O. Box 405, Allenhurst, GA.
