Michele "Mickey" Sue Sheppard

Michele “Mickey” Sue Sheppard, 56, died Saturday at her home in Allenhurst under the care of Hospice Savannah. Born in Lima, Ohio, on October 24, 1957, she had resided in Allenhurst since 1980. Michele was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Martha Burden and her adoptive father Marian Bruno. She is survived by her best friend, companion and husband of 33 years, Darrell Sheppard of Allenhurst; son, Shane Fensler (Kiyana) of Walthourville; daughter, Amanda Batt (Todd) of Long County; adoptive mother, Ruth Bruno of Richmond, VA; sister Marjo Griffin of North Port, FL; sister-in-law, Deborah Hines (Tom) of Allenhurst; five grandchildren, Shane, Jr., Elijah, Gabriel, Riley and Peyton; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, December 23, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. The graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 24, in the Hinesville Cemetery with Reverend Archie Seabrooks officiating. Burial will be in Hinesville Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Phillip Driggers, Joshua Driggers, John Fore, Jesse Williamson, DeWayne Williamson and Mike Strickland. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
