Gary Michael Groover

Hinesville. Gary Michael Groover, 50, of Hinesville died early in the morning of Tuesday, November 19, after a long illness. He was a native of Liberty County and a member of Hinesville Church of Christ. A 1981 graduate of Bradwell Institute, Gary excelled in football, lettering all four years of high school. He is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents; his father, Guy L. Groover; and the love of his life, Lori Mobley Groover. He is survived by his mother, Ann Groover; sister, Susan Groover Foltyn; niece, Shelbi Ann Foltyn; and numerous aunts and uncles. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Reverend Bobby Brinkley and Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Burial will be in Gum Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
