Hinesville Dorothy E. Scozzafava, 64, died Monday at Liberty Regional Medical Center following a long illness. Born in Bluefield, WV, Mrs. Scozzafava lived in Hinesville for 24 years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and MOCA VFW Pup Tent #66. She is survived by her husband, Frank Scozzafava; 2 daughters, Kimberly L. Williamson (J.R.) of Wayne, WV, and Elizabeth M. Dotson (Pearl) of Barboursville, WV; one son, Robert E. Maynard (Jean) of Huntington, WV; one sister, Patricia Herring (Jerry) of Reynoldsburg, OH; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday at 12:00 Noon at Chapman’s Mortuary in Huntington, WV, with visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery in Salt Rock, WV. Chapman’s Mortuary is in charge of those arrangements.
