Patricia Robinson-King Patricia Robinson-King passed away under the wonderful care of Hospice of Savannah and her granddaughter Dana at the home of her daughter Barbara. She was born in Kittery, Maine to parents Rev. Ernest Webster Robinson and Evelyn Brown Robinson on July 4th, 1926 and died October 15th, 2013. She was an author of several short stories and poems and was a long time member of the Poetry Society of Georgia in Savannah winning several awards for her poems. She was instrumental in bringing the Jane Austen Society to Savannah which was another passion of hers. She spent many years as an Army wife traveling around the country and the world making Georgia her permanent home in 1979. She worked many years as a bookkeeper when it was all done by hand. While working and raising 3 daughters, she took time to write and have published short stories and poems. She retired from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1990 as an executive secretary for the Languages and Literature Department. When she could no longer travel the highways, she traveled the cyber highways learning the computer on her own. She was a member of Rincon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by the father of her daughters, William Howard King and a son-in-law Henry Cribbs Sr. She leaves behind 3 daughters: Barbara Cribbs of Rincon, Evelyn Malone of Suffield, Connecticut and Patricia Conley of Richmond Hill; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a longtime faithful friend Elaine Dasher. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, October 17th at 7pm at Rincon United Methodist Church, 107 Savannah Ave, Rincon.
