William Telford Miller

Hinesville, GA William “Bill” Telford Miller, Jr., 66, died peacefully on April 26, 2013 at his home in Hinesville, Georgia surrounded by his wife and daughters under the care of Heartland Hospice. He was born May 6, 1946 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, son of the late William T. and Hazel (Haslett) Miller. Bill retired from the US Army after 24 years as a SFC and then retired from the Liberty County Board of Commissioners. He was a longtime fan of Mickey Mouse and all things Disney. Survivors include his wife, Ria (Altgassen) Miller; their children, Carol Miller Lemke (wife of Michael Lemke) of Hinesville, and Belinda Sue Mayberry of San Diego; grandchildren, Cali Mayberry, William Lemke, Mia Lemke, and Izabel Pollack; and a sister, Lois Miller of Johnstown. Bill will be missed by his beloved pets, Mulan, Munchkin, and Meisje. Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30th at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1st at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Doug Force officiating. Internment will follow at Hinesville Cemetery.
