Florence G. Altman, 73, of Richmond Hill died November 23, 2012 at Hospice of Savannah after a short battle with cancer. She has been a resident of Richmond Hill for the past 38 years coming from Savannah. Mrs. Altman retired from Candler Hospital as a registered nurse after 38 years of service. She was a member Warren A Candler Alumni, where she graduated in 1960 and was a member of the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Altman is survived by her husband, Raymond L. “Buddy” Altman, SR of Richmond Hill; 2 sons, Raymond L. Altman, Jr and Clifford Altman (Lynn) both of Richmond Hill; four grandchildren, Raymond “Tray” Altman III, Kyle S. Altman, Robert “Robbie” Altman and Jonathan Altman; 2 sisters Louise Marlow of Savannah and Janis Crosby (John) of Birmingham, Alabama; two sister-in-law’s Jackie Tucker of Hampton, SC and Edith Green of Savannah; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27 from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 28 at 11 O’clock at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel with Rev. Glen Martin officiating.
